What your score measures

We combine four key signals from your finances to give you a quick, honest picture of how you're doing: how much you save, how much you owe, what cushion you have and whether there's money left each month.

  • Savings rate: what share of your income you keep
  • Debt ratio: the weight of your payments against your income
  • Emergency fund: months of spending covered
  • Surplus: whether you earn more than you spend
02

How to read the result

A high score points to solid finances and room to invest; a low one, to urgent areas worth shoring up. It isn't a final mark, it's a starting point for improving.

  • 80-100: excellent, very solid finances
  • 60-79: healthy, you're on a good path
  • 40-59: could be better, there's clear room
  • 0-39: needs attention as soon as possible

Frequently asked questions

How is the score worked out?

We weight your savings rate, your debt ratio, your emergency fund and your monthly surplus on a scale from 0 to 100.

Do you store my data?

No. The calculation happens in your browser, nothing is sent and nothing is stored. It's free and needs no sign-up.

What emergency fund is recommended?

A usual benchmark is having between 3 and 6 months of spending covered. From 6 months on, the score already treats the cushion as complete.
